Celebration of the Unspeakable Age (Emay)

Saturday, May 5, 2012
I am foreseeing that I am going to have a few more of the same title posts (albeit different names) in this year. My celebration of reaching the unspeakable age is coming soon, very soon indeed.

Emay hitting it first. Hahahha. She wanted to celebrate hers in Neway One Utama. We went on 1st May dinner time. The service of Neway is always very good. We love the girl at the counter, Eunice and the Manager, Ryan. Eunice is a very bubbly and friendly girl.

After the dinner and some songs, we bought out the Baskin Robbins cake. Emay said she is eating Baskin Robbin cake for the first time.

Everyone enjoyed the night and sang their heart out.

Grumps - SSTwo Mall

Sunday, April 15, 2012
I have been to Grumps at Kelana Mall, the place was packed and the service was slow as well as the waiting time. So, when I saw this grumps open a new outlet in SSTwo Mall, I decided to buy the voucher. I bought this deal at Dealmates. The deal is for 2 pax which consists of 1x Garden Salad, 2x pumpkin soup, 1x 400g pork ribs and 2x drinks.

I went to this place with my dad and my bro, so we add on a pizza @15% off for the 3 of us.

Garden Salad
The garden salad came in a big portion and I enjoyed all the colorful vege that they put in. Very fresh and very healthy.
Cream of Pumpkin
The cream of pumpkin, standard taste.

Our add on pizza
I have forgotten what is the name of the pizza but it is the first item on the pizza menu, and their specialties as well. Whole lots of toppings and ingredients, the crust was thin and crispy. Wish they could put more cheese though, then it would be perfect!

400g Pork Ribs
Ta-da! The anticipated ribs have arrived!

It was arranged in a nice round tier surrounding the fries. The pork ribs are marinated with black beer and roasted to perfection. However, the ribs were not tender enough, and it has strong porky smell (hard to describe). My bro doesn't like it but my dad love it. To me, I am so-so to this too.

My dad was happy with the food and he wanted to come back and try again. Well, it was a no-no by my bro. Talk about different people with different taste buds.

Spasso Milano - Pavillion

Friday, April 13, 2012
I won a dining gift voucher from BangsarBabe for Spasso Pavillion. Finally Boyboy managed to drive down to KL to pick me up from my office after work and we straight headed to Pavillion, luckily the jam was not bad and we managed to reach at 6pm.

Spasso Milano occupied a very big space on Level 6. It was quite empty during our dining time there.
Sparkle Juice (RM12.80 each)

Grilled Lamb Chop (RM78)

Boyboy ordered the Grilled Lamb. The lamb was quite raw in the inside albeit the burned part outside. The blood was flowing out when Boyboy cutting the lamb. Boyboy likes it but I don't like my lamb raw. The portion is just small for that pricing. I love the taste of the pasta though and the mushroom sauce dippings.

Risotto Monzese (RM42)
Ordered this Risotto as well as it received praises from fellow bloggers. The risotto was just nicely flavour. I love the piece of pork sausage chunk on top, and it is marinated with herbs. Hope they could give me more of that!

Millefoglie (RM16.80)

Ordered the dessert. The pastry was crispy and the cream went well with that, as well as the ice cream. The only thing that I dislike of this dish was the orange pieces (or was it peach), this fruit was bitter and it spoilt the whole dessert, or was it supposed to be bitter? I don't know.

The bill came up to RM188, and minus off RM150 Bangsar Babe voucher, it became RM38. Still, it is quite expensive place to dine in.

Genting Daytrip - Chin Swee Temple

Wednesday, April 11, 2012
After the farms, we went to the Chin Swee temple. People tend to say that do not look into this temple when driving up to Genting because Chinese believe that "chin swee" "ching sui", which means it will clear up your wallet when you are in the casino. Hehe.

After so many times been up to Genting, this is the first time I visit this temple.

The post is full of photos. Hehe.

Genting Day Trip - Strawberry Farm

Friday, March 23, 2012
Susee is back from UK for a month plus and we decided to go for a trip. At first, we planned to go to Bukit Tambun Waterpark and Penang trip, but somehow Susee's time was packed, so we did a day trip to Genting instead. Sort of like Cuti-cuti Malaysia. Hahahaa.

First, we stopped by Strawberry Farm.

Pizza Uno - Subang Jaya

Monday, March 19, 2012
Since the 5 of us are approaching the 'unspeakable' age, we decided to do a photoshoot together to capture the memory. Moreover, we have known each other since Form 1, and we want to celebrate our friendship. Who are the 5? Some of them has appeared in my blog recently. They are Susee (Indian friend who speaks to us in Cantonese, geng mou?), Emay, Echean and Shiling.

We engaged a photography, MinMohd Photography and the shooting was done at Putrajaya. I will post the edited photos in another post. After the shooting, all of us were very tired and sweaty and thirsty. We went to Pizza Uno in Taipan for lunch.
Me nerdy yo - one of our props

One more
A lot of people commented that I look like a teacher with this nerdy specs. What say you?

The gang (missing susee)

Italian Salad (RM16)

The salad is a standard dish.

Deep Fried Mushroom (RM16)

After the healthy salad dish, here comes the unhealthy deep fried mushroom. We must "balance" our diet, no? Kekekeke.

Ravioli (RM24)
Susee ordered the ravioli (when she went back to UK, she even cook ravioli herself). I took a piece and I think I am not a ravioli person. Not that I dont like the taste, I think ravioli is not my first and second choice when it comes to Italian food.

Bolognese (RM18)

My bolognese. Very rich in flavour and not too tomato-ish. I managed to finish the whole plate myself, or was I too hungry?

Boscaiola - Tomato (RM22)

Carbonara (RM24)

White fish fillets (RM28)

Chean and I ordered Fruit Punch (RM6), others ordered Honey Lemon (RM6). We also ordered 4 scoops of ice cream for dessert (Single scoop ice cream (RM6)).
